Complaints of discrimination on the basis of a disability may be directed to the Equal Opportunity Office. Faculty, staff, students, and applicants are protected from retaliation for filing a complaint or assisting in an investigation under the University's Equal Opportunity policy.
Employees may pursue complaints beyond the Office of Equal Opportunity. Appeals of decisions may be made through procedures stated in University Policy # 77 (for SHRA employees), the procedures for grievance and hearing for EHRA employees (may be accessed in Human Resources office), and in Article IV, Section 3 of the Faculty Handbook (for faculty).
Appeals will be limited to whether the Director of Equal Opportunity Programs exercised professional judgment in reaching his/her decision.
