From Homecoming to Legacy Pinning to the Purple and Gold Alumni Weekend, we have a variety of in-person events we host for our alumni to enjoy. A variety of campus-wide events, such as Mountain Heritage Day, are also available to alumni.

Nominate a deserving candidate for a Young Alumnus / Alumna Award. The Young Alumnus/Alumna Award recognizes established and future leaders among Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ’s young alumni. The nominee must have graduated within the past fifteen years, attained a level of distinction in his chosen field of work, demonstrated a commitment to the service of others and shown the potential for future leadership/distinction. Preference will be given to those who, while enrolled at WCU, were active participants in the life of the university. Make a Nomination.

The 1889 Club recognizes donors for annual gifts made to the Fund for WCU, which supports scholarships, student programming, professional development, and our ongoing stewardship efforts. Named in honor of the year of WCU’s establishment, this society embraces gifts ranging from $18.89 to $1889 a year. The giving level for G.O.L.D. alumni is $18.90 per year for the first 5 years after graduating. From years 6-10 the cost is $188.90.

The Office of Alumni Engagement is excited to partner with the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵLeadership Minor on Leaders in Action. Leaders in Action pairs current Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵalumni mentors with WCU Student mentees who are currently in the Leadership Minor Program. Alumni that are interested in serving as an alumni mentor with the Leadership Minor at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵcan learn more.

An official academic transcript is a complete and accurate reflection of a student’s record. It contains all coursework taken while enrolled at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ. The Office of the Registrar can assist you in obtaining a copy of your transcript.

The Center for Career and Professional Development and the Alumni Affairs office offer a variety of opportunities and support for both alumni and students to help each other and pursue career-related goals. These offerings range from broad networking and affiliation to specific services and tools. They include formal and informal job shadowing, internship and job listing services and job searching assistance, guest speaking, career counseling and consultation, and on-campus recruiting.
