Take in sparkling marble towns, the breathtaking royal city of Évora and fortified Elvas. You’ll also relish Portugal’s soul-stirring fado music and wonderful culinary experiences, including a hands-on cooking lesson in a private home, a unique olive oil tasting on an estate and tasty samples at a town market. Plus, admire the impressive Roman ruins of Mérida, Spain, and marvel at Lisbon’s cultural riches! Day 1 | Depart for Lisbon
Fly from your gateway city to Lisbon. AHI FlexAir passengers, check luggage to LIS.
Day 2 | Lisbon | Vila Viçosa
Arrive in Lisbon, meet your group, and transfer to Alentejo Marmoris Hotel. Welcome
reception and dinner.
Day 3 | Vila Viçosa | Borba
Explore Vila Viçosa and visit a marble quarry. Enjoy lunch at Vila Santa Winery and
tour the Ducal Palace.
Day 4 | Évora
Visit Évora’s Chapel of Bones and cook traditional dishes with Chef Sofia. Free time
in Vila Viçosa.
Day 5 | Monsaraz | São Pedro do Corval
Tour the hilltop village of Monsaraz and Herdade do Esporão estate. Stop at a pottery
workshop in São Pedro do Corval.
Day 6 | Mérida, Spain | Olivenza | Vila Viçosa
Visit Mérida’s Roman ruins and Olivenza’s museum. Return to Vila Viçosa for free time.
Day 7 | Estremoz | Elvas
Visit Estremoz market and Elvas’ UNESCO fortifications. Dinner at Alentejo Marmoris
Hotel.
Day 8 | Lisbon
Transfer to Lisbon for a city tour, including Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower.
Free afternoon.
Day 9 | Lisbon
Enjoy a free day in Lisbon or take a day trip to Sintra. Farewell dinner with fado
music.
Day 10 | Depart for home
Transfer to Lisbon Airport for your flight home.
