This class is now at full capacity. Regiseration is CLOSED.
Italian for Travel and Leisure will provide the participant with the beginning tools to use some basic Italian, whether you are planning a trip to Italy, or you would like to learn something new for fun. Learning languages is also a great exercise for the brain!
The class will meet on Monday Evenings for 6 weeks from January 22 to February 26, 2024, at the historic Shelton House in Waynesville. In each class meeting, the students will be presented with new cultural material and language structures, which we will review each class period. In each class period we will go over the learned structures during the week and practice using these in conversation and role-play. Participants should study at home the structures so we may practice them again in class and move forward learning new material each class period. We will also learn about the different regions in Italy and their distinct cultures, and why this is important in learning both language and culture.
Class size limited to 12.
