I teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the School of Health Sciences and specialize in research methods and education concepts specific to the health and human sciences. I advise Integrated Health Sciences undergraduate and Master of Health Sciences graduate students. I also provide professional service at program, school, college, university, state, national, and international levels. My research focuses primarily on mental health, disability, healthcare evidence synthesis, and healthcare practice and research ethics. I previously worked for many years as a research librarian focusing on the health and human sciences. Twenty of those years were spent at WCU's own Hunter Library.
