Amanda Jones is a Registered Dietitian (RD), and an alumna of ĢƵ receiving both her B.S and her M.H.S from the university. Before entering the world of academia, she held professional positions in clinical and food service management. During her career she has had the opportunity to successfully design and implement a summer feeding bus fleet, bridging the gap with food insecurity. She has experience with hospital services, grant writing, and working with nonprofit organizations. She has been nominated for the Athena award in Henderson County, awarded the “Best Practice Award for Service” by the USDA, and selected as a “Hometown Hero” for Henderson County.
