My research focuses on examining questions related to sustainable economic developments that occur at the intersection of individual actions and social structures, particularly in rural contexts. I also conduct research on intangible asset management, including perceptions of legitimacy, authenticity, and cultural categorization. As a long-time resident of Western North Carolina, I am deeply committed to helping our students channel their passion and energy towards a more prosperous and vibrant local economy in WNC.
