Emily Naser-Hall is an Assistant Professor of Film and Media Studies in the Department of English Studies at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ. She holds a Ph.D from the University of Kentucky, an MA from Northwestern University, an LL.M. from Georgetown University, and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University. Her research focuses on post-1945 American literature and film, cultural narratives, and the intersection of law and literature.
Dr. Naser-Hall teaches film studies courses that include introduction to film studies, film genre, and adaptation studies. She enjoys teaching students both to analyze film and media as a technological and artistic medium and to place these texts in their historical and cultural context.
Dr. Naser-Hall's research interests include cultural and legal narratives of sexuality, domesticity, and reproduction in post-1945 American literature and film.
