Research Interests

My research focuses on the interactions between ligand molecules and nanomaterials, and how these interactions influence the properties of the nanomaterials. Our group primarily employs Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) to investigate the thermodynamics of ligand binding.

Currently, my lab primarily works with a class of nanomaterials known as perovskites. These materials have shown great promise in the field of solar energy collection. Unfortunately, their short shelf life prevents them from being industrially viable. Much is still unknown about their surface chemistry, which may shed light on how we can improve their properties such as stability.
