Biography

Dr. Jeffrey Ziomek is a distinguished figure in public administration, health science, and emergency medical services. With an educational foundation comprising a Doctor of Public Administration from Capella University, an MS in Health Science from Florida Gulf Coast University, a BS in Business Administration from Empire State College, and an AS in Computer Science from Niagara County Community College. He also maintain current State of Florida paramedic certification. Dr. Ziomek is highly regarded for his expertise and leadership roles.<br><br>Since his appointment in 2017 as Professor and EMS Program Director at Hodges University, Dr. Ziomek has been instrumental in developing a paramedic certificate program, directly addressing the workforce needs of Collier and Lee County Emergency Medical Services. He has also been pivotal in establishing an associate degree in Emergency Medical Services, providing a pathway for students to achieve their career aspirations in public service.<br><br>Dr. Ziomek's professional journey includes serving as a Paramedic with Rural/Metro Medical Services, where he demonstrated exceptional patient care skills. His administrative understanding was evident in his roles as Administrator at Brompton Heights and Director of Health Services at AIDS Community Services of Western New York, where he notably improved facility management and health service operations.
