Dr. Doyle received her MA and PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her book <i>Maternal Bodies: Redefining Motherhood in Early America </i>was published by the University of North Carolina Press in 2018 and received the Mary Kelley Prize from the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic. She has also published her research in the <i>Journal of American History, Bulletin of the History of Medicine, </i>and <i>Feminist Studies. </i>
