Biography

<b>PT, DPT, NCS</b><br><br>Dr. Pollard earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵin 2019, completed the University of Mississippi Medical Center Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy in 2020, and became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy in 2021. She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient rehab, ICU, acute care, and home health. She continues to practice PT in WNC, primarily serving individuals in the home health and acute care environments.<br><br>She joined the PT department as an adjunct instructor in 2021 and as a full-time faculty member in 2024. In addition to the listed teaching interests, Dr. Pollard is the Integrated Clinical Education Coordinator and a clinical instructor in the MAPHealth Services Clinic, supervising students in both the Biltmore Park and Cullowhee locations.<br><br>Dr. Pollard is originally from Atlanta, GA and now lives in Waynesville, NC. She enjoys traveling, playing tennis, hiking, mountain biking, and making music.<br><br><b>What do you love the most about being a Catamount?</b><br>Every time I step onto campus, I can't help but smile. The mountains have a way of hugging you and the faculty, staff, and students truly feel like a second family.
