Biography

Richard Wolf-Spencer is an Assistant Professor of Technical Theatre with concentrations in theatrical scenic and lighting design and technical direction. Richard holds a BS in Communications from Lewis-Clark State College, an MA in Theatre Arts and Drama from Washington State University, and an MFA in Theatre Arts with emphases in design and technical direction from the University of Idaho. Professor Wolf-Spencer has been teaching in both state universities and private colleges for the past two decades. He was the primary theatrical design faculty completing many scenic, lighting and projection designs at Elizabethtown College for ten years including the scenic and lighting designs for a recent post-apocalyptic production of <i>Romeo & Juliet</i>. As a freelance designer, Richard has designed productions such as <i>Pinocchio</i> at the Barter Theatre in Virginia, <i>The Glass Menagerie, Death of a Salesman, </i>and <i>Equus</i> at Ephrata Performing Arts Center in Pennsylvania, and most recently shows such as <i>Company</i> and <i>The Last Five Years</i> at Susquehanna Stage Company in Pennsylvania. Professor Wolf-Spencer is thrilled to be joining the faculty in the School of Stage and Screen in the fall of 2020.
