Fulbright Week 2025

Schedule of Events

  • 5:30pm: Graduate School Zoom Session
    •  
    • This event will introduce graduate students to ETA and study/research opportunities. This session will cover how to find an appropriate program, what students need to do to prepare for the Fulbright Award, and briefly go over application materials and deadlines. This session will focus heavily on study/research and how graduate students can use their Fulbright to conduct their work abroad. 
  • 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Fulbright Student Program Info Session
    • Apodaca 115
    • Coffee and cookies will be served. This is a general meeting for all undergraduate students to learn more about the Fulbright Student Program. 
  • 3:00-4:00pm: Fulbright ETA Grants Session
    • Stillwell 338 
    • This is a session tailored for students studying TESOL and Education. Students will learn more about Fulbright and funding opportunities to teach abroad. 
  • 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.: Fulbright Scholar Program Info Session
    • Belk 104
    • Lunch will be served
  • 1:00-2:00pm: Olga Beshlei, "Crossing Borders, Crossing Narratives: Constructing the Image of Ukrainian Refugees"
  • 4:00-5:00pm: Fulbright for STEM Students
    • Stillwell 338 
    • This event will introduce STEM students to possible study / research opportunities. This session will cover how to find an appropriate program, what students need to do to prepare for the Fulbright Award, and briefly go over application materials and deadlines. Light refreshments will be served. Tea and cookies served. 
  • 3:00-4:30pm: Fulbright Celebration and ONIA Award Ceremony
    • Hunter Library 186
    • Ice cream social to conclude our Fulbright Week and give everyone an opportunity to socialize with each other and continue to share their Fulbright ideas on campus. This will also serve as an award ceremony for the various awards applied for through the Office of National and International Awards this year.
