SEARCH FOR MULTIPLE COURSES THAT FULFILL A SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTE (i.e. all courses that fulfill a particular Liberal Studies category, meet at a desired
time or campus location, are offered in a particular instructional format, or with
a specific instructor)
Select the term and click "Continue" button
Click "Advanced Search"
Select area of interest in "Attribute" box
Indicate any other limitation information and click "Search"

Click on the "Add" box to the right of the course section you want to add to your
schedule and the course should appear in your summary screen as "Pending"
Click "Submit" in the bottom right corner and if there wern't any errors, the course
will be added to your schedule.

Add the 5-digit CRN for the classes you want to add in the boxes at the bottom of
the Class Worksheet and click "Submit Changes"

Schedule an appointment with the advisor liaison to the major you want to declare.
You want to do this through Navigate (“Advising and Tutoring” link under My Apps in
your myWCU). You must schedule an appointment with the correct Advisor who is the
liaison for the department.

Honors students must meet with a Brinson Honors College advisor to declare or change major
ĢƵ offers many programs leading to professional licensure
or certification. If you are considering a degree program which leads to professional
licensure or certification, it’s important for you to understand if the program meets
the requirements in the state you are planning to reside and work. More information

Changing or declaring a MINOR or CONCENTRATION within your major does not require an appointment. Stop by the Advising Center on
weekdays from 10 AM to 4 PM to meet with the Walk-In Advisor who will submit your
request.
An APPROVED PROGRAM is a specific set of courses approved by your major department to fulfill your degree
requirements. Many major programs require a Second Major, a Minor, or an Approved
Program.
Consult with your primary faculty advisor to determine the specific courses and credit
hours required for an Approved Program
Courses taken in preparation for application to professional schools beyond a bachelor's
degree (e.g. medical school, dental school, physical therapy school, etc.) are often
packaged in an Approved Program - see Pre-Professional Programs Advising for details
Your primary advisor will submit a request to have the Approved Program added to your
major program and degree audit
On the left side of the page, click “Degree Evaluation” under your name and CatCard
photo.
Select the Current Term from the pulldown.
On the “Generate New Evaluation” tab, select the program for evaluation under Curriculum
Information (the circle will turn blue and the program will be highlighted), and click
the “Generate New Request” button.
Wait for the evaluation to generate (this will take a few minutes to retrieve a lot
of information).
Courses with a red No in the Met column = courses you still need to satisfy degree requirements.
Courses with a blue Yes in the Met column = courses you have completed, or you are registered for to satisfy
degree requirements.
On the left side of the page, click the “Credits Earned Elsewhere” tab (third from
the bottom) under your CatCard photo.

View how your coursework transferred to ĢƵfrom other colleges or universities
You must have earned a C or better to receive ĢƵcredit for a course
Speak with an advisor in the Advising Center if you have questions about how your
transfer courses were evaluated

to Look-up Tool and click on link. Only courses that have been evaluated and awarded credit by WCU
will be displayed.
Students who feel they should have received transfer credit for ĢƵLiberal Studies
classes will submit requests for a re-evaluation to liberalstudies@wcu.edu. All other requests for a re-evaluation of transfer classes should be emailed to
registrarsoffice@wcu.edu
