Abby Bentley worked as a research scientist after her undergraduate studies. In the field, she was concerned with environmental toxicology 鈥� she would test water near agriculture sites for certain pollutants.

CEAP Graduate Student, Emily Grace Nytko, Shares Capstone Research at NAEYC's National Conference

Former Elementary Education undergraduate and graduate student, Emily Grace Nytko, presented her Capstone Research findings with former instructor, Dr. Barrett-Tatum, at NAEYC's annual national conference. Her research supports hands-on, problem-based Mathematics instruction in the primary grades. Emily Grace is currently a Kindergarten teacher at Cullowhee Valley and continues studies related to multi-age PBL Mathematics instruction.

Oconaluftee Students Excel in Leadership Training Course with CEAP Staff

In late August, 14 Oconaluftee students were selected to participate in a Leadership Training course offered by 蘑菇短视频鈥檚 College of Education and Allied Professions. Classes were conducted by Amanda Chapman, Director of the Office of Field Experiences and Jenny Stewart, Director of Student Success. OJCCCC鈥檚 Academic Manager, Cindi Simmons and Residential Living Manager, Robin McCoy also participated. Leadership Training was a four-day, 32-hour course based on career success standards.
