Major: Engineering Technology  |  Hometown: Leesburg, FL

Why WCU:  I chose Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵfor the small class sizes and ability for undergraduates to be involved in research and school projects.

My Experience: During my time at WCU, I was involved in the casting of the Tau Alpha Pi honors society monument, and I was the first student to be trained on the SPOT robot. I don’t believe I would have had these opportunities at another college, and I am very happy to be a part of WCU’s College of Engineering and Technology.

Major: Construction Management  |  Hometown: Jacksonville, NC

Why WCU:  Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵhas one of the most beneficial programs around. Their relations with the community and industry made me feel right at home.

My Experience: The family atmosphere at Western is by far what sets us apart. Everyone on campus from administrators to students cares about each other and will help any way they can.

Student Life: Around western is A LOT of nature. Picking this school has led me to love hiking the outdoors and exploring landmarks around.

Why WCU: I chose Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵbecause it was close to home, and and I chose engineering because I found myself wanting to understand how machines are made and designed.

My Experience: I love Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵbecause of the student-to-teacher ratio. The teachers know the students' names and actually care about their success.
