ĢƵnamed a ‘Best College Value’

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine has named ĢƵ a “2018 Best College Value” in its annual review of colleges and universities. ĢƵis ranked 58th among public higher education institutions across the nation in terms of value for in-state students and 48th for out-of-state students. ĢƵwas ranked 185th overall out of the final 300 public and private institutions selected as a best value by Kiplinger’s.

Online programs receive high rankings

ĢƵ’s online degree programs are again among the nation’s best, according to rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. In a review of undergraduate and graduate online programs offered by higher education institutions across the country, the magazine ranked ĢƵin 47th place among 259 schools in a category for “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.”

Blue Ridge Outdoors taps ĢƵfor adventure school ‘hall of fame’

In the wake of four consecutive victories in Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine’s annual poll to determine the “top adventure college” in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic region, ĢƵ has been selected as the inaugural inductee into the publication’s outdoor college “hall of fame.” The decision was made to remove ĢƵfrom the list of nominees in this year’s contest “to allow other schools to come online and battle it out,” magazine staff announced this past spring.

Undergraduate researchers place ĢƵin national spotlight for 13th year

Students from ĢƵ once again ranked in the top 10 nationally in terms of the number of research projects accepted for presentation at the annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research. This makes 13 consecutive years that the university’s students have placed in the top 10 in projects accepted for the country’s most prestigious undergraduate research conference.

Project Management Program earns a top 4 national ranking

ĢƵ’s online Master of Project Management Program has received a No. 4 national ranking from the website mastersprogramsguide.com. Schools and programs were evaluated based on publicly available information about accreditation, accessibility, reputation and recognition, and each program’s career-advancing focus. WCU’s program was the first to be accredited by the Project Management Institute and the first accepted as a Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center for Project Management.
