Trustees re-elect Kaemmerling as board chair

Patricia B. Kaemmerling ’71, chief financial officer for Access Computers Inc. in Norcross, Georgia, has been re-elected chair of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Board of Trustees. The board also re-elected J. Bryant Kinney ’82, a public and government affairs executive in Charlotte and principal of Kinney Public Strategies, as vice chair and Robert C. Roberts of Asheville, regional executive vice president for First Citizens Bank & Trust Co., as board secretary. All three officers were elected by acclamation at the board’s meeting in September.

Two appointees join Board of Visitors

Two new members have joined the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Board of Visitors for three-year terms beginning in 2018-19: Sheldon Frazier ’09, director of bands at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia; and Paxton Myers ’00, chief of staff to the principal chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a resident of Sylva.

Foundation board welcomes 6 new members

The Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ Foundation recently welcomed six new members to its board of directors following approval of the full slate of nominees by the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵBoard of Trustees: John Davis ’87, senior vice president for global sales and marketing at Cryolife Inc., a resident of Alpharetta, Georgia; Dennis Fox ’71, vice president of market development for Trail Creek Investments, a resident of Raleigh; Jeffrey Garvin ’70, civil trial attorney from Fort Myers, Florida; John Martin ’90, senior vice president and financial adviser with CAPTRUST, a resident of Raleigh; Debbie Sims, retired insurance executive from Franklin, Tennessee; and Charles Worley, an attorney from Asheville.
