Isadora Williams
Born in Pickens County, South Carolina, Isadora Williams (1884-1976) spent most of her life working as a Home Marketing Specialist with the University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service. Known for her hooked rugs, Williams studied weaving at Berea College and was a frequent summer student at Penland during the 1930s and 1940s. She was a charter member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and a presenter at the held at Penland in 1940.
